There are spectacular views over the ocean extending from the Split Point lighthouse at Airey's Inlet to Loutitt Bay and the Lorne pier. There are three large decks where you can enjoy this near perfect scenario. Tanglewood is equally enjoyable in summer and winter.
Tanglewood is a very private and tranquil space with simply stunning views from almost every room and yet is only 5 minutes on the Great Ocean Road to the buzz that is Lorne with its superb beaches, restaurants shops and art galleries.
Wake to the warbling of the magpies, then enjoy breakfast on the deck sitting at the magnificent 3.5 metre red gum table and watch the surfers catching the waves.
There are regular visits from kangaroos, king parrots, rosellas, kookaburras and the occasional echidna and koala. At twilight you may hear the hooting of an owl and last but not least, in winter you can watch the whales on their annual migration south.
